What fabric is a waterproof jacket
When making clothing, a layer of lining needs to be added inside to protect the waterproof and breathable membrane layer.
1. For two-layer laminated fabrics, only a waterproof and breathable layer is compounded under the outer fabric. When making clothing, a layer of lining needs to be added inside to protect the waterproof and breathable membrane layer. The characteristic is that the fabric is relatively soft and has a wide range of applications.
2. The three-layer adhesive fabric is compounded with a waterproof and breathable layer under the outer fabric, and then a layer of inner lining is compounded. There is no need to add a lining when making ready-made garments. It is characterized by good durability.
3. Two and a half layers of fabric, typically GTX PACLITE fabric, a waterproof and breathable layer is compounded under the outer fabric, and then a protective layer (not lining) is added. When making clothing, because there is already a protective layer, there is no need to add a lining. But it is much lighter and softer than the three-layer adhesive fabric. It is characterized by being very light, thin and easy to carry.
Generally, the surface of the fabric is treated with a waterproof agent, or coated with plastic, PU, etc. The textile of waterproof fabric has the functions of oil repellency, water resistance and water pressure resistance, and has a large market in China. When we encounter environments that are prone to contact with water, such as high humidity and rain, we should wear waterproof fabrics. Waterproof fabric not only solves the inconvenience of carrying an umbrella when riding a bicycle in rainy days, but also has the advantages of no washing and easy maintenance.
